🚨 Don’t Fall for This Scam — My Story

Introduction

I never thought I’d be writing this. As someone passionate about design and technology, I believed hard work and trust would always pay off. But I was wrong. I was scammed — and I want to share my story in Deeproots earth  so others don’t fall into the same trap.

My Experience

It started Deeproots Earth as a Community management guy with excitement. I was offered a role after a long interview process where I poured my energy into designing product screens. Deeproot promised growth, innovation, and a chance to be part of something new.

But from day one, the red flags appeared:

  • A team member who guided me through the interview was suddenly fired without explanation.
  • Payments were delayed, excuses piled up, and I had to keep asking just to receive small amounts.
  • I spent my own savings to cover workspace and tools, believing things would improve.

The hardest part wasn’t just the financial strain — it was the emotional toll. I felt trapped, having already invested so much of my time and creativity. Walking away felt like losing everything I had built.

Breaking Down the Scam

Looking back, the tactics were clear:

  • Trial offers that stretched far beyond reasonable scope.
  • Postponed payments with endless excuses.
  • Exploitation of ambition — making me believe my effort would eventually be rewarded.

It’s a pattern designed to drain your energy, money, and trust.

Emotional Reflections

Being scammed isn’t just about money. It shakes your confidence. It makes you question your judgment. I remember the frustration of working late nights, the anxiety of waiting for payments, and the disappointment of realizing my trust was misplaced.

But I also learned something important: sharing our stories is powerful. Silence protects scammers. Speaking up protects the community.

Lessons Learned

  • Always research companies and founders before committing.
  • Never accept unpaid “trial” work beyond a reasonable scope.
  • Ask for clear contracts and upfront payment terms.
  • Trust your instincts — red flags are warnings, not inconveniences.

I was scammed, but I refuse to let that silence me. If you’re reading this, please take my story as a warning: don’t fall for these tactics. Protect your work, your time, and your trust.

And if you’ve experienced something similar, share it. Together, we can make our communities safer.

This isn’t just my story — it’s a reminder that scams thrive on silence. Let’s break that silence.
